Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of TheLawBoard, the continuously-updated legal jobs database for recruiting professionals, operated by CestoneAI Holdings LLC.
1. Who we are
TheLawBoard ("TheLawBoard", "we", "us") is a continuously-updated database of open positions at U.S. law firms, operated by CestoneAI Holdings LLC ("Company"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TheLawBoard website, application, API, and MCP server (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
TheLawBoard aggregates publicly available job postings from law-firm careers pages and ATS providers, curates them to a verified set of AmLaw 100, AmLaw 200, and vetted midsize firms, and makes them searchable for legal recruiting professionals. The Service is an information and research tool. We are not a law firm, an employer, an employment agency, or a party to any hiring relationship, and we do not solicit or place candidates.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. The Service is intended for business use by legal recruiting professionals and agencies; you must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
4. Plans, billing, and renewal
- Free plan. Access to AmLaw 100 and AmLaw 200 firm listings at no charge.
- Pro plan — $249 per month. Unlocks midsize-firm listings plus the API and MCP server. Pro is a recurring monthly subscription that automatically renews each month until cancelled.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclusive of any applicable taxes.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future renewals. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- We may change plan features or pricing prospectively, with notice before your next renewal.
5. API and MCP use
Pro subscribers may generate API keys to access live job data via our REST API and MCP server. You are responsible for keeping your keys confidential. You agree not to exceed reasonable use, resell or redistribute the raw data as a competing database, or use the data to build a substantially similar product. We may rate-limit, suspend, or revoke keys for abuse.
6. Acceptable use
- No scraping, bulk-downloading, or systematic copying of the Service beyond the provided API.
- No reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing listings as your own database or product.
- No unlawful, infringing, harassing, or deceptive use; no attempts to breach security or access other accounts.
- No use to send spam or unsolicited contact in violation of applicable law.
7. Data accuracy & no guarantee
Listings are sourced from third-party and public sources and may be incomplete, outdated, duplicated, or removed by the firm at any time. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or current status of any posting, and we do not guarantee that any application, interview, placement, or outcome will result from use of the Service. You are responsible for verifying any listing directly with the firm before relying on it.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, compilation, and curation, is owned by the Company and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription. Individual job-posting facts originate with the respective firms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate or complete.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for any conduct that risks harm to the Service or others. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware for any dispute not subject to arbitration. (Operator to confirm the controlling jurisdiction.)
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
